Collection Lambert, Museum of Contemporary Art

Founded on the historic donation of dealer and Collector Yvon Lambert, the Collection Lambert, museum of contemporary art, reopened its doors to the public in July 2015 after doubling its exhibition space. The hôtels de Caumont and Montfaucon now host a selection of works from the permanent collection (Sol LeWitt, Douglas Gordon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Anselm Kiefer, Niele Toroni, Andres Serrano... whose works are presented in rotation) and temporary exhibitions by artists from the current art scene.

Exhibition Alchimie de la rencontre - Works from the Collection Lambert

From 23 Jun 2024 to 19 Jan 2025

Free

Like the squares of a game of goose, each room in the museum will bear a strong characteristic, evoking the rich history of this unusual institution. In this playful arrangement, works from different eras and of different kinds come together through their links with poetry, literature and art history. Amongst this bubbling of references, books, fictions and personal memories, some mysterious objects from neighbouring museums or borrowed from friendly collections will also be presented.

For this second part of the “Our Museum” project initiated by Collection Lambert and Mohamed El Khatib, Le Grand Tour once again brings together a collective of citizens to answer the essential question: How can we truly inhabit and take possession of our cultural sites?
Accompanied by choreographer Christian Rizzo and his accomplices Vania Vaneau and Julie Guibert, these curators of a new kind set off on a survey of three European capitals to bring back living matter.
