PLEASE NOTE ! All visitors with an Avignon City Pass must go to the pre-paid ticket line and present their pass.

- Ticket to be used strictly for the time slot and day chosen
- The Pontifical Gardens are not included in this ticket.
- Pets are not allowed on the tour (except guide dogs)

-Strollers must be left at the cloakroom
-Due to a large number of steps, the monument is not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
-The rooms closed to visitors are those of the cameraman and the notary

The monumental residence of the 14th-century pontiffs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Gothic palace in the world (15,000 m2 of floor space, equivalent to the volume of 4 Gothic cathedrals).
The visitor can see over 20 rooms, scenes of historic events, in particular the pope’s private chambers and the frescoes painted by the Italian artist Matteo Giovannetti. The Popes’ Palace also offers the visitor continuous cultural activities throughout the year.
The ticket includes the visit of the Palace of the Popes as well as the histopad which is a touch pad that allows to live a temporal immersion in the major parts of the monument, entirely re-constituted as they could be in the 14th century.
IMPORTANT:
Each visitor must go to the line for pre-paid tickets and present their Avignon City Pass or Avignon City Pass.

Exhibition Palazzo - Eva Jospin

FreeFrom June 30 to January 7, 2024, for its major annual exhibition, the Palais des Papes offers a dreamlike discovery of the works of visual artist Eva Jospin, distributed in several rooms of the monument.
